My AM radio reception sucks!!! I read on another site that it is the tint that's causing the problem. Can anyone confirm that is the cause? If so, how can I fix it?

Are there after market antennas that can be used with the radio? I have the 6-CD changer model.

Do you also have the GPS? I have a distance setting for the radio to improve reception that I access through the GPS.

netrider, did you tint your rear window with a tint material made from metallics? If so, the radio antenna is in the rear window and a metallic tint will intefier with it's ability to get a good signal. As for an aftermarket antenna, sorry, I don't know of any. You might want to check out Crutchfields.

If you did put in a metallic tint, you may want to contemplate having that removed and having a different material put in.

 

Sorry to be so long replying.

I don't have the GPS. My tint is factory tint meaning the tint is actually part of the glass. In the meantime, the dealer checked for faults in the antenna module, found none, reset the antenna module anyway. No change. Reception still sucks.
