Default Heater clicking?!?

Hello everybody,

I have an 06 Charger SXT, over the last couple weeks the heater has started clicking, generally it will do it for 10-30 seconds then quit. However every now and then it continues to click until the car is shut off and started. The clicking appears to be associated to the position the heater is in, for instance defrost, or vent ect and not the heat control. It does not matter what position the heater is in, I have however noticed if it is clicking in the defrost position and I turn the dial clockwise it will stop clicking until it reaches the selected mode then the clicking starts again. I suspect this is a stripped gear in the actuator motor but I have not dove under the dash yet to take a look, I thought I would post here and see if I can get some feedback before I have a go at it.

Thanks in advance for any help!
