Default DIY Repair: Pink Shifter Interlock Lever - Goes Right, But Won't Pull Down Into Gear

This is if the shifter will move to the right when applying the brake, but will
not pull down, into gear. This is a common issue with the older models
with the pink interlock lever. There is an updated part that's white, and has
a reinforced hook for the spring.

, AND
to replace with the correct part# if you so choose. Otherwise, after
it's apart, and you have the interlock lever part out, here is how to fix it.

I would have needed part# 1-68088259AB, as shown in the video.

DRILL A HOLE IN THE INTERLOCK LEVER, for a 1/8" Rivet. I drilled a 7/64" Hole
so the rivet would go in tighter. I just routed it out slightly, but it was a tight fit.

Place one of the spring's end loops under the rivet head, and push the rivet into the hole:

Finish riveting the spring to the pink lever. Sorry this is blurry, but you should get the picture:

Using the video, reinstall the repaired lever, but you'll be fastening the spring to the shifter housing, and not
from to the arm from the housing.

This is it all back together, with the repair:

Reinstall your shifter assembly when done.
