Hello to everyone who reads this! I am new to the forums here. Have spent a couple of days researching an issue that i'm having with my car. Not sure if its Transmission related or something else all entirely.

Specifics: When the car shifts from 1st to 2nd, its almost as if ive lost power. It'll bog way down unless i push the pedal to floor and kick it wide open. Up until i get the RPM's up to about 4 1/2 then its starts to pick up the power again. Then once its shifts again its fine - its only between those gears. No engine lights - no codes (exept the TCPM light anyway). When I bought the car i wasn't aware of any issues with it until I went to get an oil change done and the oil smelled like gas. Which was told could possibly mean i have a cracked piston or bad rings. Which wouldn't surprise me knowing where the car came from. But since the oil change, no smell and still clear as can be. (due for new oil change).

I am out of ideas and could use anyone's help in this matter. Would be greatly appreciated.
