It doesn't happen all the time. From a stopped position, I can attempt to accelerate but can only get up to 40-45 or slowly build speed up. RPMs race. If I stop, put in park and turn the car off and immediately crank it back up it drives as if nothing ever happened. My car has 156000 miles. My car has an automatic transmission. But weird thing Engine Light is not on. Help Please!!

 

Wiggle the PCM connectors, mainly C2 while the car is idling normal, see if it goes nuts on you.
