Unhappy Dodge Charger 2014 Coolant temp plz reply!

Dears,

My dodge charger 2014 standard 3.5L i just bought it having 37000 Miles on it. It has coolant temperature fluctuates between 210 F to 219 F and at 221F the both fans starts. It goes up and down in a minute and it keeps on doing the same when car stops or stays idle. As the car moves it sometimes fall to 204F and goes up to 219F. Another note when i turned on the AC the coolant temp usually falls to 206F and goes up to 213F.

I have been trying to know hard from other dodge guys if that is normal. Shall i take it seriously. The annoying thing making me worried is the temp goes up and down fast in a minute or so. This wasn't happening with me on my Chrysler 300C 2009 model.

Please share your experience to ease my mind so i will take further step into right direction. Thanks

So you think there might be an issue and i should do something?
I went to the dealer and they told me that when the AC is ON it is going down which is good and normal and when the AC is OFF and it is going up to 219F this is normal. That's my discussion with them only without any scan tool/physical test.

Stop looking at digital coolant temp. It will drive you batty. Set it to gauge if you can. It's also not a 3.5 on a 2014, it's a 3.6. They're all aluminum and the operating temp is higher, as aluminum gets rid of heat faster than cast iron.

Your 2009 was a totally different vehicle all around. Don't compare them.

Thanks for pointing out 3.6. Well i think you are right as the dealer here also telling me same and they are not interested to check as they keep telling me everything is fine if temperature not crossing 224F.

I may get as hot as 231 or so in the summer before the fan goes high and pulls it down, especially with ac condenser load on the system.
