Default Driving in Snow?

Hi All - Learning my way around here - I have a 2012 Charger R/T, it's my 1st Dodge and I truly love this car. But... I am a wuss when it comes to driving it in the snow, especially with it being a RWD.

I just got new tires for it, went with Firestone Firehawks AS as it got a lot of positive reviews.

In Ohio, we didn't get much snow last year and I'm sure I will notice a difference with tires with tread - but was hoping to get some thoughts on whether or not I should add weight (sand bags or other suggested) to the trunk or just allow traction control to do it's thing..

Any advice would be appreciated.
