Default 2007 Charger 3.5L SXT - Intermittent start

Wife's car. 2007 Dodge Charger 3.5L SXT, 128K miles. She turns the key and nothing happens. She turns it a second time and it starts. All lights and accessories work. Good battery. Clean terminals. I located the starter relay in the fuse box under the hood. Switched it with the relay next to it (running lights), still does it. Starter works well when it does crank, not slow or tired sounding.

Today it took 3 tries to crank, may be getting progressively worse.

Any and all advice is appreciated.

Default Poss solution

Sounds like your ignition switch actuator broke. I think its dorman part# 924 739 It usually starts as an intermittent problem and gets worse over time.. Hope that helps.
