I have a 2014 Charger with 36,000 miles and of course no warranty left... A/C started acting up and ended up having to take it to the dealer because of the 1234yf freon. The diagnosis is the evaporator is broke and needs replaced. I find it hard to believe this part wasn't faulty to begin with as I haven't even had to get new brakes on this car yet, let alone a major part of the A/C system is broke. Is anyone else having any problems? Has anyone heard of the 1234yf freon causing the evaporators to fail prematurely? Thanks in advance.

 

If something is broken, it needs to be replaced. Things break. 1234yf is a replacement refrigerant for r134. Blame the environmentalists.
