Default 06 Daytona Headlight Issue

Hello everyone from NC. I have an 06 Daytona Top Banana. Recently I have been having an issue with the headlights. The headlights are on all the time when the car is running (low beam). I have always left it on automatic since it was new. The headlights stay on even when I switch them from auto to off. The switch does not appear to do anything even when I try the other settings. The high beams do work properly via stick when you push it forward but does not flash the high beams when you pull it back. The headlights turn off when I turn the car off, it does not delay the headlights 90 seconds like it use too. I have checked the settings and it is still set on 90 seconds. I can hear a light buzzing noise coming from under the driver side dash when the car is off. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I do not believe so. I haven't changed anything. Just noticed the headlights have been on all the time. If it is drl's the lights should turn off when you use the switch. I bought the car new 12 years ago. They have always automatically turned on and off. It has always been set on automatic. I probably only used the headlight switch 12 times since new.

Auto headlights are different than DRL's on LX's. DRL's are for export (Canada) and would have to be enabled by Starscan in the computer. Sounds like your switch may have deteriorated internally over time.

HemiLonestar.
Thanks. I will pull the switch this weekend and put a meter on it to verify if it is working.
