Default Thanks for the reply

Lol so much for being detailed haha 😂 I put the 5.7 in it reman straight from auto zone it’s a sure fire reman but I haven’t got power to the 6 gage wire got to my positive post on my alternator I hooked a external regulator up today an it didn’t Charger it so I need to make sure I got it connected correctly an then go from that step to seeing if maybe I got a spilt in the wire it starts an runs fine but just won’t charge idk what going on I thought about running another ground From the chassis to the starter or something I’m out of ideas border line broke I have over 8 thousand in this car thought why by new replace the engine the I know what I got so what I’ve done so far tried bypassing the internal regulator I think I don’t have something right but a dodge mechanic said it wouldn’t work I don’t by it guy that sold me the regulator showed me that it would engage the alternator so new battery starter alternator only thing I haven’t replaced was the positive wire the goes from the alternator past the start ext I was getting a erratic volt reading took it to get it benched test dude has done it for 40 yrs aka he sold me the voltage regulator the alternator tested good I don’t get it I’ve got grounds going to my ground wires this is a head scratcher I’m really aggravated I’ve spent most of my saving trying to get a dependable car because I travel for work I’m a nursing assistant an I’m hard on vehicle that’s why I just replaced the engine I did it my self but I don’t get it other then charging it runs great I’m gonna disconnect the fuse boxes an test the wiring leading to the relays to make sure I don’t have no breaks or burnt wires thanks for the replay srry about the long reply any help or other step would be appreciated this is a pretty electronic car s

It’s a nice car

Valve seats dropped that’s why I just replaced the engine probably could have got away with heads but hey
