2012 Charger electrical(?) issues
I (my son actually) has a 2012 Charge - loves the car, but it has some odd (what I am told) are electrical issues. the AC blows hot, and when doing a hard left - the Power Steering seems to be non existent, and a weird clicking when you shut down the engine. Our local mechanic diagnosed as likely TIPM issues - followed with 'they quit making them'. i see lots of rebuild TIPM places - but NONE of them deal with 2012 dodge charger. and the TIPM in this model doesn't look like any others (in that other just unplug and replug a new one... this one seems to have NO plugs - just 100 wires leading in). i did TIPM reset a few times - no change. and I don't see any downloads for the vehicle that related. Really not sure where to turn - would like to find someone locally (I an in Cumming GA) who could diagnose and fix - and not spend $$$ with the dealer - but would take any advice anyone can offer. Thanks!

Why does the mechanic suspect the A/C blowing hot is an electrical issue rather than an issue either with the refrigerant level or an issue with the compressor clutch circuit? The power steering issue sounds a bit interesting. Is it that the power assist firms up when turning left in that it does this even when the vehicle is still and you near the steering lock, or is it only difficult when the vehicle is in motion? Is there any different noise associated with the firm steering, such as a moaning or chirping? Being from Georgia this may not be relevant, but does it happen to seem worse in cooler weather?
Can you describe the clicking noise a bit more? Is the clicking at a constant rate, or does the rate change like maybe a fan blade slowing to a stop? If constant, how long does it last? Are you familiar with the sound of a relay clicking, and if so, does it sound like that? Does it do it every time he shuts the engine off? If it does, it seems like it would be pretty easy to narrow down the general area the clicking is coming from (ie: under the hood, in the cabin, near the radiator, near the battery in the trunk, from the TIPM, etc.).
