Default 2007 Dodge Daytona Keyless Entry Reset With... The Panic Button?

I recently acquired a 2007 Daytona Special Edition Charger R/T - Plum Crazy #1387 of 1400. Very rare, very tasty, very satisfying and very well-maintained.

But, there were some issues. A few, of which, I was able to resolve with the help of this forum. So I decided to join and share something that may benefit someone else.

The car came with two Chinese knock-off key fobs. From the time I purchased it I had intermittent issues with the keyless entry system acting wonky: not locking immediately after exiting, not locking after unlocking, the trunk release not working after locking or unlocking, not locking after opening any other door but the driver door... you get the idea.

After one of the key fobs broke, I bit the bullet and bought a (very expensive) OEM key fob and had it cut and programmed by a locksmith. The problem remained. Rats. My frustration level grew till it reached a point where I was actually going to set up an (expensive) appointment with a dealership just to troubleshoot it,

Then something magic happened - an answer to prayer - I accidentally tripped the panic button on my OEM fob and had to shut off the alarm by unlocking the car and inserting the key in the ignition, turning it to the “on" position.

Since that day, I have had no more issues with the keyless entry! None! Zip! Zero! Nada! Thank you, LORD!

I sure hope that may be a fix for someone else.

Some incidental notes:
The car came with a remote starter and two Dodge-labeled key fobs, so I assume it was installed by the dealer at the time of purchase, but I have no way of knowing. Sometimes when I use it and, after entering the car - but before I insert the key, turn the ignition to “on” and hit the brake - most of the instrument cluster warning lights start flashing in a seemingly random fashion with the A/C winking on and off. That hasn’t happened in a while, but if it ever does, now, after discovering this “Panic Reset” thingy I just told you about, I’ll make a follow-up post, if I can find a solution.
Another issue was that the TPMS warning would come on while driving, then go off a few miles later, with no deflation issue ever found. A reset of the system at Discount Tire, after they verified the TPMS sensors were operating correctly,. seems to have cleared up that problem, and the TPMS system did work properly, recently, after a tire got cut while on the freeway.

Have a great Dodge Day, with whatever Dodge you drive!
