Default Need help getting rid of engine noise (sound system)

I've upgraded my sound system but can't get rid of that freaking engine noise when I turn on my radio. I bought a noise filter from Best Buy and it helps a bit. But I have to always change postions of the filter and its getting annoying. I have the filter connected by the amp in the back but I've also tried connecting it by my EQ in the front, NOTHING MY QUESTION IS......is there anything i can do to help with this problem? Is there a stronger filter that I can install that will help get rid of the noise? If yes where can I get it and how much?
