Hey moderators
Deleting a post just because I ask about another forum seems a little childish and insecure to me. It was not a violation of any of the membership rules you have posted.
All I wanted to know was how many people follow both.

The reason they removed the post, is due to problems with that other forum. It's become an unwritten rule if you will that we dont allow posts from them and they dont allow posts from us. It prevents nonsense between the two forums.
If we've offended you, I'd like to say I'm sorry that you feel that way. This isnt about being rude, it's just trying to circumvent nonsense from a couple of bad eggs. It's nothing against you.
Anyhow, welcome to DF, and I hope this doesnt keep you from staying and enjoying our forum.

It just seems a little childish that two groups of people that are both enthusiasts for the same products to act that way. I posted the same question on their forum and the same thing happened, they deleted it.
As i explained in your original post, we have had problems with that site, as well as with a few others who lack the ability to get their poorly run and poorly put together forums known to enthusiasts. Since they cannot establish the proper means by which to advertise their forum, they instead reduce themselves to childishly going to other forums, and pointlessly posting about their forum. We remove posts such as that, and for the same reason you post was removed, but not before I posted a complete answer to your question. the problem is that although the site in question is one of the sites who encourages that type of thing (as members of our forums caught "spamming" will be banned), some people come to this forum, and innocently mention other forums, at which point we have to remove them as well. Because if we do not, then the problem forums have people post links to THEIR forum and if we remove theirs, without removing the first one, even though the first one was not meant as "spam", it creates too many "loopholes" in the rule. If you would care to discuss this further, feel free to PM, me, and I would be happy to go into more detail. Thank you for understanding, and welcome to DF...[8D]
