Hi I´m from Mexico City I finally got the chance to test drive a Charger R/T this saturday and let me teel you all I´m in love, the car is so powerfull;I got to drive her for about 6 miles and I´m so happy I didn´t buy the Mustang GT.I´m going to do the paperwork today at the dealership and they said she´ll be there in 3 days.It´s going to be a go mango daytona fully loaded but navy, no maps yet[:'(].I´ll post some pics this coming weekend.I have one question to any one who owns a daytona are the black stripes with letters painted or are they stickers?BTW the experience with the dealership has been great just gave them a call and they offered me the test drive; at Ford they won´t let me drive the Pony ´cause they have no demo[:@],the Charger was on the showroom and they took it out and made her shine just for me.Thanks for this great forum hope we become friends[:-] Saludos a todos from Mexcio City!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

my understanding is that they're basicly stickers. i'm 99% sure they're not paint.

BTW how do i change from manual mode to auto with the car rolling on my test drive I tried but the only way I got it was stnading still and shifting to neutral and back to drive?????[>:]

 

I had the same problem... To change from Manual Shift to Auto Shift, Hold the Shift in + position instead of releasing for the next higher gear. You will see the gear select go from a number to D.

 

If you're already in 5th gear (manual mode), usually, I just push it to the right as if trying to upshift to another gear and the gear selector will indicate "D" and go into auto mode. Never tried it when in lower gears, but it makes sense - just hold it and watch for the gear indicator to show "D".
