Modding is a Disease!!
Well Folks,
I got my car back today. It was early enough that I hit my favorite muffler shop. We started with taking out the resonator. For those that had any confusion, the center suitcase is most definately the resonator. The outboard pods at the rear are definately mufflers. I cut open the resonator and it was empty for the most part. It was just a big chamber. Well it sounds quite nice. Not deep enough for me however so I am going back tomorrow to have a pair of SpinTech mufflers put on. They sound quite impressive and show impressive flow numbers as well as being made locally here to me.
If these developments aren't enough, I ordered an AFE stage two CAI and a SC Flashpaq. I have had great luck with AFE products in the past and they too are local to me.
My Wife thinks I am nuts but she gets the giggles every time she tromps on one of our cars after I am done with it. The car I traded in on the Daytona was an '03 Subaru WRX modded to about 300hp. Fun car but even my youngest of three boys is shoulder height to my 6'1" now.... We outgrew it along with me modding it so far it was using a quart of oil per thousand..:>
Any of you that are farther along in you mods have an idea what kind of HP I should be pushing when all this is installed?
Thanks,
Keith
