Dave,

I have a Genie garage door opener. The Homelink setup works fine on both my Charger and my wife's Caravan.

It has been a couple of months since I set it up when I got my Charger but I recall having two major steps. I needed to do something with the garage door opener head and train the transmitter in the car.

If you can find it, you may want to check the owner's manaul for the garage door opener to see if it says something special or different about training your Homelink transmitter.

Good luck.....

Hi all,

I had the same trouble. I have a sears opener and if your opener is 6 or 7 years old then it should have a smart button and its up by where your motion sensers are wired in at. Have your car just under the opener, press the smart button then the button in your car that you wish to use. Its easier with 2 people. Good luck..
