Paint Clumps Defect- need advice!
I got my daytona GoManGo charger last month. There is a little clump under the paint about the size of a grain of sand or sesame seed. The dealer says its probably aclump of the metal sparkle. He wants to repaint the door and blend the back door and fender. I'm nervous.
Do you think it's better to live witht the defect or risk a new paint job that might not match exactly?

Like Rivalry said, get it done now. The longer you wait the harder the match will be (although a good body shop paint guy can work wonders). I have a GoManGo Daytona Ram 1500 and it needed some paintwork. You can't tell a thing. The metallic paint helps a lot with hiding shade differences.
baldyloxs,
What color is your Charger? I noticed on my Top Banana Daytona there's is a slight shade difference between the nose piece, hood and fenders. It was only noticeable under the incandescent lighting in my garage and you can't tell a thing in sunlight. I figure they paint these parts seperately at the factory (or at a vendor) so that would account for the slight difference. Since there are panel lines separating it's no big deal to me.

The two pieces are painted seperately, the nose gets a special flex agent added so it doesn't chip off if you bump into something. Any time parts are painted seperately there will be a slight shade difference especially if the underlying material is different in this case steel and urethane. Before I painted it I would find a good detail or body shop and have them try to wet sand it out and buff it, sometimes this works if the clump is only in the clear coat.
