Default Charger DOORS!!!!

Hey.....Have you people noticed that when you are driving and the doors get locked then when you try to open the doors...it gets opened....I was suprised to know that because my friend was checking it when he was sitting next to me......then later when I went to the service centre....they said that the Charger and 300C (Chrysler) is made like that! Can anyone please tell me how can lock the doors and will not be able to open when the car is moving?

Why would you be pulling on the door handles while you are moving in the first place?

Besides, the rear doors will not open by pulling the handle when locked...theoretically, the rear seat area would be where one would store irresponsible, door-opening-whilst-moving occupants.

The rear doors are the only ones that stay locked once you put the car in drive and begin moving. My kids are always in the back seat and I have to unlock the doors so they can get out (unless they pull the lock pin up themselves). The front doors open when you pull the handle as a safety feature in case of an accident. That way they won't fly open on an impact and only you can open them from inside.

I don't have a problem with this arrangement personally.

edit: also the trunk will not open using the release button on the dash if the car is in drive. You have to be in park for it to work.

The manual is loaded with good info about this feature. I would leave the locks as they are it is a great safety feature.

It took about a month to learn all the Charger features. You can set thing up the way you want. Have fun.
