Just wanted to wish everyone a very happy, and safe, 4th of July. Take a moment, just a moment, and remember that we are celebrating the birth of our nation. We must too often take for granted what others have done for us. If it wasn't for our forefathers, we may not be where we are today. Do we have problems in our nation? Of course we do. But where else can a person voice his/her opinion without being prosecuted for it. Where else can we worship the way we want to without being harrassed, or killed, for it? Where else can we chose who runs our government with the right to vote. I know it's not all perfect, but it's a hell of a lot better than a lot of other places.

I have my flag flying today. It was given to me by an Aunt and Uncle of mine that worked for a congressman from Iowa. It has flown over the White House. And by God, I'm proud to fly it. Be proud that you are an American - irregardless of where your ancesters came from - we are Americans. And celebrate the birth of the United States of America.

Too often we think of the 4th of July, myself included, as nothing more than a day off of work, bar-b-ques, watermellon and fireworks. It's a lot more than that, my friends.

Take just a moment to think about it and remember what it's truly all about.

Thanks for the kind words/thoughts concerning this Great Nation we call home.
I hope everyone remembers our Armed Forces who can't be with Loved Ones today as well as those who have to work today(myself included).
