CHARGER
Hey guys, I work at Circuit City and I work in the Road Shop department (car audio), and I was asked if I wanted to be sponsored by ECLIPSE (FUJITSU JEN), KICKER, and STREET WIRES and Circuit City of course. Now theres a problem, I was told by my local dealership that the Chargers, Magnums, and 300's are really sensative when it comes to there wiring. Now I have never installed subs, video screens, amps, and speakers in one of these vehicles and never attemted too. I was wondering if you guys new if the wiring was really sensative as they say?
Charger R/T,
Closely read the OH SH*T my car won't run by Dodgegirl -- towards the end, she states this:
The radio fuse blowing then pulling all the fuses one at a time to check for good CAN kill the computer.. Why it does it is a different story...Will it do it..If your name is Jules and you skip church on a Sunday to install and amp..
You might want to post a question directly to her, or email her, and ask about sensitivity.
Probably want to contact a good, reputable Dodge dealer and ask a knowledgable tech about pulling fuses and installing radios, etc, etc.
ChargerR/T....NO DONT DO IT!!! Hopefully they know what they are doing. (I obviously didnt)..DON'T short anything out. DON'T pull any un-necessary fuses. BE careful. Seriously.. If the replace the factory speakers and know how to bypass the factory amp, go for it. It's still too new for alot of audio places to work on these Daytona's... A Circuit City???Humm. BE Careful. I hope it works out for you and you get a killer audio system. I got two JL Audio 10's in a ported box in the trunk I mounted directly under the back dash area so I could still get to the battery. I used 2- 1X4 boards I covered with black felt and mounted them under the box and drilled through the box and board down to the inside bottom of the trunk to keep the box from sliding. I have a 300x2 JL audio amp mounted to the back of the box on those 2-10's and a 300x2 JL audio amp mounted to the back of the seat for the front and rear deck speakers. Sounds killer.
