Try running regular, Mango, the cars computer is designed for that. It says right in the manual,"no gains from premium" if the car is designed for regular.

Yeah, but we're running the SC tuner set to 91 octane. I'm going to set it back to stock tonight since I'm taking it to the dealership tomorrow.

If it pings at 91 it will ping worse with regular. Changing back to 87 won't fix the problem. Ping is bad, you don't want to drive any periods of time with that problem. Take it back to the dealer.

3796, weren't you the guy that wanted to lower the temp of the engine and change your thermostat temp... did you?

You were going to add some gunk to lower the operating temp also... did you?

Those engines are designed to operate at a certain level. If you messed with it, you might be pinging...

I wonder if getting HAL's attention by disconnecting the battery cable might help. Since that is where the timing is set from anyway, maybe resetting the controller might set things right. Won't take long and doesn't cost anything to try. I was skeptical about this until I tried it as a last resort on my wife's 300m after the cam sensor was replaced by the dealer and it was way down on power.

Just a thought.
