my friend patrick helped me. He drives a 96 Z28 and we both thought that my car would look better without the door guards. They are too low to do anything anyway. So we grabbed some fishing line and he went to get a blow dryer to heat it up, but we figured the 104 degree heat of the Texas summer would do it lol. So you just put the fishing line behind the door guard and work it across. I used a 3M brand solvent to get the excess sticky stuff off. Beware that the paint underneath will be faded a little bit, but with some wax and elbow greese, it shine up like new.
