That's my next project.

I was hoping to install a KRC 212 cam this weekend but I'm not sure if it's going to arrive in time. This is a MDS compatible cam that KRC claims gains: 35hp and 25ft/lbs. 320-350 rear wheel with KRC 6005 or Extrudehoned heads, headers and Superchips controller.

If you go with a 6.1 cam you will need to at least disable MDS.

With the KRC 212 I’m not going to swap anything except the cam. I have Comp Beehive Springs and Retainers but am not going to install them this time. I’m also eyeing some Manley push rods, but I'm not changing out stock rods at this time.

BTW… 65Standard from the Magnum Section has installed the KRC 212 on his 5.7 Magie.

Well the cam was to arrive Friday last week but it hasn't arrived yet. I called KRC today and got the FedEx tracking number and looked up the tracking information...

Aug 28, 2006
7:46 PM Arrived at FedEx location MEMPHIS, TN
6:55 PM Picked up MEMPHIS, TN
2:44 PM Package data transmitted to FedEx Memphis, TN

Aug 29, 2006
7:03 AM Departed FedEx location MEMPHIS, TN

Alas my cam has slipped into the FedEx abyss and it's going to be up to 48 hrs until FedEx gets with me to let me know what they found [sm=boohoo.gif]

I was hoping to have it installed for this weekend track runs, oh well that’s not happening.
