Default Spear Removal

I am going to remove my TB Chargers spears this weekend. The car has 3600 miles on it and I am concerned that I will find discolored paint underneath? Will I....?

Also do I have to heat the whole spear or just enough to get the fishing wire under it?

It probably will be slightly discolored like most have experienced. Some polishing cream and elbow grease will take care if it.

On flossing and heating, that depends on the current temperature in your area. We were less than 60 degree this morning, wahoo love it. If needed, start heating at one end or the other and work your way down the spear.

Good luck!

Removed mine at 18,000. No color change. No need the fishing wire. Just heat the tip of the spear for about 20-30 sec. and pull easy, And it only took a very little effort to clean. some type of paint cleaner/wax. The whole job took no less them 45 mins. including cleaning the paint.

Go figure, two now with no color fade under the spears. That may have been a orage paint thing but it's good to hear.

I agree they were GoMango, its probably the metal flake in the paint.
