Dodge Charger The Dodge Charger. The car that made its competitors shiver in the 60's is reborn in 2006 into a sleek sedan that can still send the competition home wimpering, the Dodge Charger.

Well I have been reading for a while so figured I would finally register.

I have a 2006 Charger R/T Performance Group still bone stock except for having the spoiler added when I bought her. I upgraded to the performance group due to the sportier seats with the suede centers but the difference in handling turned out to be the real benefit. I bought it in April and already have 18,000 miles on her. Everything is holding up well and I drive hard. Only been into the shop for a few minor warranty issues and one they still won't fix.

Thanks to all the posters on here the information you provide is great. I own my own company so once money frees up I will begin modding.

One quick question is can you remove the emblems the same way you remove the spears?

WELCOME!! Glad to have you here.

I would suspect that the emblems would come off the same way - at least some. I have to get my trunk lid repainted - some little so-and-so's "keyed" my trunk lid. I was told that I would have to pay for new emblems since when they come off, they can't be put back on again. I'm thinking, since I'm paying for them, I'm going to have them put the red "R/T" badge (for the Daytonas) on the trunk. I have a steel silver R/T and I think the red would look really good.

Welcome CV2006RTPerfTX.

Very interested in the issue "they still won't fix", please post more info.

About the rest of the badges on the car, they will come off same as spears. Just take your time and peal them off, most use something to help persuade them to come off some just pull them off w/no issues. If temperatures are cool in your area use a heat gun or hair dryer to help loosen the sticky stuff that hold-em on.

MONGO IS RIGHT. JUST USE A HAIR DRYER FOR A FEW MINS. AND SLOWLY PEEL IT OFF. CLEAN IT WITH QUICK DETAIL SPRAY. IF YOU HAVE STICKY LEFT IN THE SPOT USE GOO OFF. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE WARR. ISSUE TOO. WAIT IT GETS EVEN BETTER WITH THE UPGRADES. THANKS.

The warranty issue I am fighting is my front brakes. I am now at 19,000 miles and I have warped 2 rotors on the passenger front. The stealership says the car is fine and keeps blaming it on an out of balance tire. That is a crap answer but just to make surer I went and had them all balanced. Problem was still there just as before. You can feel it under breaking heavy or light over 70 MPH. They finally replaced the rotor under warranty at 5k miles. At 11K it was back I am still fighting to get them to replace it again and to get them to find the problem. I was a ford F250 diesel 4x4 guy before this car and I had a similar problem at about 60K and it was a warped caliper. A new brake kit and it was fixed but dodge wants to pretend its my driving causing it. I am about to give up and look into slotted and cross drillied rotors and ne pads for the whole car so I can be done with this.

Sorry to hear the grief your getting on that break problem. Sounds like you got your stuff together and know what's going on, keep on top of them the squeeky wheel gets oiled or breaks fixed
