i know i asked this once before but im ordering it tomarrow and just wanted those last few opitons. i was taking to a jet and airaid vender and he said the jet is a better unit and cheaper. better becasue that airaids make a whistling noise that he doesnt like. just his opition. he said it whistles because airt is escaping out of the unit, but it doesnt effect the performence of it. i quess i want to know what that sounds like and is it cool sounding or does it get on your nervse. anyone with either please let me know. thanks agian.

 

I dont think the whistleing is from the air escaping its lke a tunnel,or your window cracked open.We have the K&N its whistles all the time I really annoys the better half I dont mind .

 

im just repeating what one dealer said about jet vs airaid. jet doesnt make the noise and airaid does. he said becuase air is escaping. just dont know which one to buy. i didnt even know k&n made a throttle body spacer where do you find it never seen one. thanks.

Could be wrong but I think it whistles due to the tube being rifled like a gun barrel. One without rifling would not whistle Dixie.
