Default Tire Pressure Monitoring System

I just had Goodyear tire company replace my 22inch rims with my factory tires for the winter. Now the Tire Pressure Monitoring System light stays on. Does anyone know the work around to get this to go off but still work when it is needed? I'm trying to avoid taken it back to them so they can mess it up some more. I would really appreciate the insight.

I have yet to fiddle w/the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) so I’m catching up on it.

From what I’ve read there’s a sensor on each wheel and it appears to be part of the valve stem. Obviously you lost yours when you traded up to different wheels. The mounting angle and wheel composition are the only two things that that affect operation of the TPM system.

There is no other solution then putting then on your new wheels. Not sure about aftermarket but you should be able to get them from a dealer.

Hopefully, your new wheels have a high enough room in the center to allow space for the sensors.

When I brought the car it came with the 22's and the sensors were working because my one tire kept loosing air and the signal would chime and a light would come on the dash when it went low. The one tire was bad so thats why I put the factories back on. Do you think I just need a reset?

OK I'm catching up on the story here... so when you purchased the car you had 22s put on it and kept the stockers on the side.

Were the sensors moved from the stockers to the new wheels or did they put 4 new sensors on the 22s?

You have 2 options

1) remove the sensors from the 22's and put them in the stockers for the winter
or
2) Purchase new sensors from the dealer and put them back in the stockers.

What happened is the dealer took the sensors out of the stocks and put them in the 22's
