Default New Impalas are FAST

I just raced a new impala SS and that POS( piece of S#$&) kept up w/ me for the most part. Great sleeper but wouldn't buy a front wheel drive Chevy. I was shocked when the driver mashed the gas off the line and then it was on. BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA and I won all but one of the lights to light races.

I am refraining from the play by play since they irritate me when I read them on other posts.

I've been telling people for a while now that the 5.3L V8 Impalas are super damn fast....and they arent anything to discount....give them a year or two and they'll have some serious mods for the LS4 motor....

Nice racing though!

It weighs 3700pounds which is 500pounds lighter then our chargers. And they run mid 14's maybe low 14's with a good driver and launch. See the thing with FWD cars is that once they have like 350HP or so you need some pretty sticky tires to not have like a 2.5 60' time. First gear of a 275HP dynoed SRT-4 is basically pointless so just imagine a V8 FWD car.
