cast and camber
hi everybody car should be ready on thursday i hope anyway.but a couple of friends of mine told me that i should have the shop show me the cast and camber of the rear axle and it should be under 2 ,anybody have any input on the subject ?
I don't know the correct numbers for the rear of our cars but it would sure be a good idea to make sure things are right. For an easy description, camber is the amount the tops of your rear tires point towards each other. Caster on the other hand is the tilt angle of the spindle front to back and I am not sure if it matters on a rear axle. It seems like it should just always be zero since it doesn't steer.
Found it in the service manual p265-268, here's a PDF of those pages http://home.comcast.net/~rgdixon/Cha...mberCaster.pdf
