ive been wondering if anyone will ever make an aftermarket manuel tranny for our cars .any one have any thoughts or rumors ?

 

bowler transmissions will custom make you one. you specify how its geared, how many gears it has, etc. B&M also will custom make one i believe. we got a custom B&M on our drag car but i dont know if they make custom streetable trannies. youre problly gonna need something better than stock once you get that s/c on there.

 

yeah i know but the word custom and expensive should go together .i was hoping some company would come out with one so costs would stay somewhat lower

 

Keisler Engineering has a manuel in an SRT. It's in the April 07 Mopar Action Magazine.

 

youre right with that one but if youre going to be spending all that money on your engine, i wouldnt skimp on the drivetrain either. hell i think id do suspension and drive train mods first, then do the engine work. that way when you get your S/C you wont have any tranny problems or any issues with the handling at higher speeds and faster accelerations. good luck getting your car back though.

 

I want a 6 SPEED

 

There's lots of rumblings out there about a manual 6 speed for the 5.7 and 6.1 Hemi's but nothing solid yet.
