Flashpaq question......
Hi Everyone.....
Well, now that I have my first Dodge....it's time to have some mod fun! I am not a 'handy man' type of person....I am totally brain dead[&:] when it comes to working on cars....however, it seems that this Flashpaq from Superchips seems pretty easy....just want to ask everyone if this is a true statement? I just want to gain some HP and use 91 gas.......is this a hard thing to use? Where is the connector on the car?......I want to buy this thing...but, I also want to do it myself, but I know my limitations!
Thanks,
- Mark

Hi, Mark! Welcome.
To answer your question - the Flashpaq is very easy to use. Do you have a computer, or access to one. There are updates to the Flashpaq that can be downloaded from a computer. All you have to do is register when you get your new Flashpaq, plug it in with the cord supplied, and the computer pretty much does the rest.
To use it, just plug it in to the recepticle located under the dash. It is located to the right of the parking brake release handle. You mayhave to kind of "crawl" under the dash with a flash light the first time, but after that, you'll be able to do it by touch and feel. The Flashpaq tells you just exactly what to do; there are several options for you to chose from, including the octane you want to use, transmission settings, torque management, etc. It's very easy and straight forward. Now, if you have a 2007 Charger, the Flashpaq for these units won't, as I understand it, be available until sometime in March. You can still get one, but will have to wait until the update for the 07s is ready and then down load that update in March.
To find out more, click on "sponsors" at the top of this page and look for the Flashpaq logo and give them a call. They are very helpful and can fill you in on all the particulars.
If you want to e-mail me (just click on "74scamp" to the left of here) I can e-mail you some pictures of the unit and where it plugs into the car.
Good luck, and have fun!
