Default Projector head lamps: halos

How difficult is it to install aftermarket headlamps? Do I have to take off the front clip or remove the grill??

Those Halos are very cool and for $300 a set I might pick up a pair.

It's not bad and it's easiest to remove the front fascia (bumper).

1.Remove 4-6 push pins inside hood
2. Remove 8-12 screws from bottom small belly pan.
3. Remove three push pins from the inside fender well.
4. Pull fender well liner out of the way to expose the silver colored 10mm bolts.
5. Remove 10mm bolts.
6. Pull the front bumper straight forward off the car.

Note: On each side where the fender and the front bumper meet there are two 10MM bolts. The painted one does not need to be removed. Also in that area there is an alignment pin the bumper slides over. When you pull straight forward it will unplug from that pin.

Headlights removal:
There are two bolts (one top, one bottom) and a ball and socket type joint that hold the headlights on. Remove the two bolts and pull the headlight from the edge facing the grill side. The ball and socket is in the outside corner where the fender and headlights meet. Place fingers in the back side and pull out the one corner and then pushed the corner back in to release the ball and socket joint.

It sounds worse than it is The first time it will take a person 20 minutes to take off the fascia and 15 minutes to put it back on. Once a person has done it once it will take them all of 20 minutes from start to finish.
