Default Block heater plug

Is it just me, or is that a stupid spot to have the block heater plug ... out the hood of my 06 Charger R/T?

Any ideas? It flaps in the breeze at highway speeds. Can't wait for Spring to put it away.

For those of us that haven't seen how it's configured can you post up a pic. I'd love to see this plug hanging out of the hood!

<edit> Pic not really necessary but it would be nice, I haven't ever seen where the factory locates it. If you don't like it's location there are two options:
1. See if it can be relocated.
2. Cut and splice an extension into the power cord and run it where you would like it.

I don't have a pic handy .. but it's in the driver's side corner of the hood, in the crack between the hood and the body. It won't fit through the front grate even if the cord was spliced.

Sounds like a shabby design. Not sure where else you could run that puppy to.

That’s a beefy cord if it will not fit through a stock grill, it is stock isn’t it?

Yup ... stock grill ... stock block heater. Trust me ... stood out in the freezing temps thinking "this can't be right" .. as the plug dangles from the corner.

Silly question ... under my name it says "back seat driver" ... don't they know I like to be up front?
