AWD question
I'm also waiting for the brave soul that'll do it. Here's what I have so far. No one makes lowering springs for the AWD Charger (anyone know otherwise PLEASE correct me). KW automotive makes coil overs for the Magnum & Chrysler 300 AWDs. Cost about $1800. Eibach makes springs for the 300C (part #2879.140) $219-$350 if you hunt around. I'm sure all of the cars are based on the same platform. I was at a car show in my area and an Eibach rep was there. Fool didn't even know his own product, insisted Eibach made springs for the Charger AWD! After a2 minute debate and catalog search, he called someone higher up in the company and found I was right. Said he will research it, took my number & would call. 3 weeks& nothing. Also my dealer tech gave the old song & dance [:@]"non mopar will void your warranty".[:'(]
Oh yeah I forgot. Check out the Magnum section of the forum under handling performance there's info on that side. Also check with Flat Eric over there. He's been on the forum for a while and may have some insight.
First that stealership is full of $h!t. It is a federal law that the only way an aftermarket product can void your warenty is if they can prove it is what caused the problem.
On a lighter note you might try Air Ride Technologies. They don't have a direct bolt in kit for one yet but they are good at working with you. Just go to their web site and see what is available for your app and it should give you a number. I've been doing a lot of reading on this subject and from what I can see the only draw back to an air setup is weight. But you can get them so you almost scrape the ground (or really scrape if your into that kinda thing) then flip a switch and set it to a slightly higher ride height with rates geard for racing, then flip your switch again and get it closer to a factory ride height for comfortable ride and speed bumps, or just about anycombination you can think of.
