Default Need help 68 dodge 200 hiboy???

alright, looking for some help from you guys. i need to find out info on a older dodge truck. its a 1968 Dodge 200 HiBoy...atleast thats what it is listed as. i searched and cant find any info out about the truck. it has a straight 6, granny 4speed, and is sitting on 38's. has a wood flat bed on it now. comes with a working plow.needs brakes and a windshield. for 300 bucks.

can anyone help me out here and let me know some info about it. what kind of axles did it come with? gears? what kind of trans? tcase? what size is the motor? etc. is it disc up front or drums?

any help would be great. thanks.

68 hiboy? W200Powerwagon is it? 68 pickem up should be closed knuckle 44 in the front and a 60 in the rear. Straight 6? slanted 2256cyl. maybe. NP435 trans with a divorced 205 transfer, 3.5 and 4.10 most common gears, I have seen 3.91 axle ratio in a 69 W200. 68 would also be drum brakes stock.

does this sound like a decent deal? would that 44 be a HP? a high pinion? think thats what you call it. these are the only pics i have, kinda small.

i was looking into getting this truck to take the drivetrain out of it and throw in my 89 wrangler...but it seems like it would be a hell of a mud truck. it has 38's on it. but if you say it has the 225in it, i'm not sure how well it would do. i've had 4 darts with the great 225 and they run good, but they cant get out of there own way.

looks to be pretty decent shape. i wanted to go to a SOA for my jeep, but need a high pinion(?) cant remember the correct term(tired as hell right now), so that i wont need to buy a high steer kit. but...are these trucks pretty good? might consider taking it as it is and just using it in the woods.

$300.00 such a deal if you want a beater kinda thing, stick a 360/440 something in it and beat it good. The ad sounds like it's stuck in granny or something, if I had the time/room for something else like thatI would buy it, make no mistake it'd be a buncha work and $ to make it stompable.but the axles, trans, transfer will take a good deal of input torque and abusive operation, that's why it's a MoPar!!!

i didnt even catch that before...(its in Grandaddy low gear ). if thats the case, i wonder what the hell that could be? then again, a 435 cant be that hard and expensive, could it?

thats what i was thinking...take a 440 out of a motorhome, drop that in and it would definitly rock. first things first, i got to see it first. now its got me wondering about why its in granny though. hell, a 44, a 60 and 38's go for more than 300.

Right price wise, you'd need V-8 flywheel and bell housing for either the RB or LA, motor mount mod's/making but is real simple fabrication wise.

The trans stuck in G gear thing easy fix if yer inclined! you may need to change the input shaft anywho for the big spline input shaft I don't know what hub size the 225's used off hand.

Power steering not needed but if ya want it's something else to fix!

Needs bigger radiator.

Hell, Dodge truck brakes don't work any way so it's still stock!
