Angry 72 Dodge Pick Up

Hi newbie here. I have a 1972 Dodge Pick Up with a 360 engine. It wouldnt start. My buddy told me it was starter relay. Went out and got one and he put it in. When he hooked up battery cables truck cranked over without the key in the ignition. I really need help here guys Thanks Bob

Welcome to DF Bob! Ill move this over to the Dodge Classics Section. Maybe those guys/gals will give ya a better idea on whats wrong, or could be wrong with also the possibility of a fix. Good luck and enjoy!

it could be a few things
check the timing chain by grabing the lower pully and see how much play is in it.
