1930's body number

1930's body number
Does anybody know how to find year and model from a body number? I have what I bought as a 33 Dodge, but have been told the dash is wrong. Can't read the serial plate, other than a few letters across the top that say Desoto and a hint of other words. body number is SD-7866-SS by Chrysler Motors. Any help is appreciated.
