Default Meet Lorrie Van Haul, a 1967 Dodge P200 Postal Van

Hey All,
It's been some time since Lorrie Van Haul and I have been here. Have been working for the past couple of years on getting Lorrie back on the road. She has been in a coma since September 3, 1996, but is just a couple of weeks away from being up and going again.

Here is a JPG of Lorrie as she now looks.

Everything that needed fixing has been fixed. Many upgrades, such as the Interior getting insulated and paneled, NEW Master and Wheel Cylinders. NEW Water Pump, NEW Fuel Pump, New Wiring throughout. All three Doors fixed. NEW Roof Vent, Floor and Roof have gotten Hurculiner Bed Liner applied, NEW Paint, NEW Engine Cabinetry, and many more details too numerous to list.

Had Lorrie's mighty 225 Slant Six running last Sunday, but the Holley 1920 got to leaking, so shut her down, and tried to fix the leak. Got her all back together, and she ran for five minutes and the 1920 started leaking again. Really poor design with Gaskets below the Fuel Level. Am afraid that the Holley is toast.

Finally found a GREAT NOS Bendix Stromberg Model W Carburetor. It will be here April 9th or 10th. NO Gaskets below the Fuel Level. Slightly more air flow than a Holley 1920.

You can see about the Bendix Stromberg Model W Carburetor here:

Anyway, hope this finds YOU all doing well.

Hang in there.

make a mod to the intake manifold, by putting a 318 2bdl carb on. by making a 1/4 thick plate that matches the the 2 bdl carb, then cut holes in stock manifold, but first grind the 1 bdl riser flat so the 1/4 plate has a place to set, then cut circles to match the 1/4 plate. DO NOT weld, DO counter sink in the the 1/4 plate for countersunk 1/4 in screws, that thread in to the manifold. DO not use hose for fuel, DO bend 5/16 steel tubing for fuel. the carb throttle shaft should be straight with the crankshaft
