Default 1985 150 3.7L no spark

I have replaced every electrical part and still no power going to distributor. i checked the coil it had power going to positive snd negitive side but no spark. someone said if i had power going to positive side of coil that means the resister is good, is that true?
Is there anything I am missing

if it has a distributor with a cable with two wires do this. disconnect the wires. get an analog meter. set it on the lowest voltage ACV setting. put the probes in to the dist wires. spin the dist, if the meter moves a little the dist is good
