Default 1966 D-300 Dually Pickup?

I just purchased a 1966 D-300 Dually with a pickup bed with dual fenders. Everyone I have talked to has never seen one. Can someone tell me when Dodge started making dually pickups? It is all original, I don't believe is a custom job. All I know is, it is a real head turner! Any info would be appreciated. Steve

I did some checking on some Dodge truck sites- being a 300, it very well could be original. I found one site that showed them making a 300 dually as early as 1963, so it probably is factory. There couldn't have been a lot of them made, and given the way trucks were used in those days, probably even fewer survived. Yours looks to be in pretty good shape, by the way. I'd have to think it's pretty rare. Here's a few vintage Dodge truck websites you might try for additional info:

Thanks for information, I went to those sites and found info on D-300's but nothing on the pickup bed. I haven't give up though, I think the truck may have been painted orange, originally.
