1985 Dodge C250 Stalling and Backfire
Hello All, looking for advice, I have 1985 Dodge B250 Camper Van with a 360 and a Factory Quadrajet 4bl carb.
It's seems to stall out and starve for fuel , I replaced the fuel filter and even put on a new mechanical pump, took it for a test ride and it stalled out again .
It will run normal and just stall out then restart after pumping the gas.I got a vacuum gage and it seems on the low side @ 16.5 17 the gauge needle was not fluctuating that much.
I pulled the carb and cleaned it up and still show the same problems?
Anyone have any opinions , is there a common fault with these engines ?

When did this issue start or did you get it like that? Might want to see where the timing is set at. Are you sure it's the fuel/carb causing the problem? Put a timing light on it, it will tell you what it's timed at and you can see if the spark is consistent. Also does the problem only happen when the engine is hot? If so it may be a vapor lock issue.
