Default New wheels and tires for our 57 dodge pickup

Need to buy new wheels and tires for a 1957 dodge 1/2 pickup. 5 bolt pattern. I have no idea of the original size of the tires or wheels since what is on it now is not stock. Looking for aftermarket stuff not original, just correct size and look. Black steel wheels would be perfect.
I understand that Ford used the same size tires and wheels at that time. Information and sources would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

OEM wheel size was 14 x 6. 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern.

How about snagging a set of police car wheels and center caps. The basic dog dish hub cap and the police cap look a lot alike but the police caps have holes in them. As for tires, you want to go with radials. I've changed a few 50's Mopars over. I had a '54 where I rebuilt the front end and had a guy who was going to retire that had worked on them new. It was like it came from the factory but still followed every crack in the road. When I went from bias ply to radial tires, it went away and while the manual steering was still a bear, the car would run 80 with no trouble. I did learn that vintage wheel covers would NOT stay on with radials but later model covers from the 60's would. I'd go with 15 inch wheels and either go with blackwall tires or white letter out tires. I missed getting a '57 once and have kicked myself ever since.

Thanks for all your help. Discovered that both Ford and
Dodge used the same wheels during that period so the choices are endless.

Chrysler used the 5 on 4.5 until the late 80's on RWD cars and Ford did a few years more on the Crown Vic. You want wheels from at least the 1970's due to design changes. When you get tires, go with radial tires. They really clean up the handling on older vehicles that had bias ply originally.
