I recently picked up a 75 D300 Dually that I am going to start restoring. Its a 1 ton and 360 small block swapped (believe it came from factory with the 318). I believe the bed has also been swapped with one from a newer model as the tailgate says "DODGE RAM" which I dont believe Dodge Ram was a thing until several years later. My main hiccup right now is that I want to lower it. I dont want to slam it, just a tasteful stance on it. I'm thinking probably 6 or so inches, just enough to get the fender to tire gap to maybe just an inch or 2. The rear axle shouldnt be a problem. Im thinking an axle flip should take care of most of that gap, and I can figure the rest out from there. The front I am running into a bit more trouble during my research. I know the suspension on the front had already been switched to independent suspension for this model. I cant seem to find a kit, or even really a good answer on what I can replace to go about getting rid of that gap. This is my first project truck, so Im fairly new to trucks and how their suspension is set up. If anyone has any experience with this, or even some ideas I could do further research on that would be much appreciated.
