Confused... Coronets have been around since the 40's. I sure miss my 67 383

 

The 426 hemi came out in 1966 so the "muscle car movement" was already underway.

 

Now you can buy this car quite cheaply. For me, the first generation of these cars was really presentable, for example the '49 is the most excellent. It didn't require shifting gears which made it a very comfortable car. Again, tastes different. The fifth generation, as I recall, is quite very different series already, but I'm sure there will be fans of those as well. I was once at https://www.greatbritishcarjourney.com/ where all British cars are represented, these models were there too. The cool thing was that they were allowed to drive them, limited time, but still.
