Default Looking for some help

I have an 82 dodge ram d-150 pickup, it's an automatic 2wd, has a slant 6 in it. My goal is to fully restore it. I've had the truck for 10 years. Mileage is low for the year. I've recently had transmission work done, the pan under it was leaking, had that fixed so it wouldn't leak any transmission fluid. I haven't driven it since it started leaking to prevent any damage. Before it started leaking, the pump was changed, since the old one locked up. Once I got the new pump in, I changed the filter which after that is when it started leaking. It also has a new torque converter that was put in a few years ago. But ever since the pump was changed, I can't seem to really go in reverse. I can put it in drive and it's fine, runs great. But if I try to back up, if I ever so lightly touch the pedal, it will back, but if I try to normally back up, soon as you push the pedal it will act like I just put it in park or neutral. At first I thought it was because the linkage was off but got that fixed a few weeks ago, and it still does it.
