I have a Chrysler Crown Special Marine engine in rebuild. It's a 265 cu. in. I'm planning on using a Pertronix Ignitor electronic ignition module, and it's been suggested I upgrade the coil, shave the head a bit, maybe use bigger jets in the twin carbs, etc.
Is there anywhere I would find more info on doing this correctly? Has anyone else done anything similar to one of these engines? My shop is ready and willing to go in this direction, but I'd like to know the engineering realities first.
