BATTERY INSTALLATION IN 1951 DODGE MEADOWBROOK

I would information on the battery connection on 1951 meadowbrook.
Does the positive post of the battery gets connected to ground which would make the car run on -6v or does the positive post does not got to ground
which would make the car run on positive voltage.
