1954 Dodge Truck
Hey guys. ( And maybe some girls)
Just purchased a 1954 Dodge truck with an inline v6, manual, with only 36,000 miles. The cab up is in great shape but the bed is horrible. I was just wondering if it would be worth more to restore it stock or go ahead and customize it however I want. So far I'd like to bag, c-notch, and four link the frame, all things I haven't done before but want to learn. Not sure what engine and drivetrain to go with. I'd like to keep it all Dodge. So I was thinking a 360 out of a ram with a 727 trans. Budget wise that would work out well. Unsure of the rear end unless I went with ford. Your opinions would be greatly appreciated. Any info or direction to sites where c-notching/ four link is discussed would help a lot too.
